Research and Publications
The Root River watershed drains approximately 119 square miles of rural, urban, and suburban land. It is inevitable that along the way it picks up excess nutrients and suspended particulates from storm water run-off, construction run-off, and agricultural run-off. The Root River Council incorporates up-to-date best-management practices in developing projects with local partners, while building upon a foundation laid by traditional methods and approaches.
